Sunrun (RUN) Jumps 26% on 16 GW Deal with Tesla (TSLA) Today

Sunrun (RUN) saw a stock surge of 26% to $16.17 following a partnership announcement with Tesla (TSLA) and Renew Home to develop a virtual power plant projecting over 16 gigawatts of capacity. Goldman Sachs forecasts U.S. data center power demand will reach 66 GW by 2027, with this deal addressing the expected surge in energy needs. Despite today's gains, Sunrun remains down 11% year-to-date. The initial deployment in Virginia's Data Center Alley has already secured over 300 megawatts, with plans to increase this to at least 500 megawatts by 2030.
