SoFi Stadium Super Bowl Confidence Boost from World Cup Events

SoFi Stadium successfully hosted eight World Cup matches, including two involving Iran, without major security incidents. Otto Benedict, the stadium's senior vice president of facility and campus operations, said law enforcement partners worked collaboratively to create a safe environment, and that crowd-flow, ticketing, and concession systems held up under peak demand. A permanent natural grass pitch was ruled out as operationally infeasible given the venue's year-round schedule. The successful run signals the venue is operationally on track for the upcoming Super Bowl and the 2028 LA Olympics.
