Military Veterans Owe £5.1M Due to Pension Overpayments

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) confirmed that over 1000 retired service personnel are being pursued for debts due to a clerical error. The majority, 335 veterans, were overpaid a total of £5.1 million because of incorrect National Insurance calculations. So far, £304,000 has been repaid, with a third of the affected veterans having cleared their debts.
