US Plans Additional Troops to Middle East Amid Ongoing Iran Conflict

The United States is set to deploy thousands of additional soldiers to the Middle East, increasing its military presence which already includes tens of thousands of personnel. This escalation comes nearly a month into the Iran conflict, as the U.S. seeks to apply pressure on Iran for peace negotiations while outlining a 15-point peace plan demanding the end of Iran's nuclear program. Iran has stated it will not compromise unless the U.S. recognizes its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and pays war reparations.
