A consortium led by Blackstone and David Blitzer has acquired the Royal Challengers Bengaluru franchise of the Indian Premier League for ₹166 billion ($1.78 billion). This deal reflects increasing investor interest in the IPL, which is valued at $18.5 billion. Additionally, another consortium acquired the Rajasthan Royals for $1.63 billion.
