Premier Lacrosse League Eyeing Franchise Sales by 2028

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) plans to sell franchises to individual owners or groups by 2028, as co-founder Paul Rabil stated. Currently, the league operates with eight teams and aims to expand to 16 over the next decade. Recently, the PLL raised $100 million in a Series E funding round to support this growth. Rabil highlighted the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics as a pivotal opportunity for the league's exposure, given lacrosse's return as a medal sport after 120 years.
