Bybit (BYBIT) Expands EU Services with Austrian EMI Licence

Bybit Payments GmbH has secured an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence from Austria's Financial Market Authority (FMA), enabling it to provide regulated e-money and payment services through Bybit.eu. This expands Bybit's European offerings and builds on its existing Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) authorisation obtained in May 2025. The EMI licence positions Bybit Payments GmbH to introduce various payment capabilities, including person-to-person payments and merchant payment solutions. This development is significant as it enhances Bybit's ability to connect crypto-assets with everyday financial services, which may attract more users to the platform and benefit future growth.
