Alaska Airlines Expands Premium Cabin Offering with New Suites

Alaska Airlines plans to overhaul cabin offerings on its planes, including adding hundreds of high-end seats and constructing new airport lounges. This initiative aims for a $1 billion increase in profit from late 2024 to late 2027, with Alaska reporting it is two-thirds of the way to this goal. By 2030, the airline forecasts that its revenue from premium seats and loyalty programs will rise to nearly 60%, up from 53% currently. These changes come as Alaska Airlines continues to operate separately from Hawaiian Airlines, despite their merger completion in September 2024.
